This just in from Camp Nou - Lionel Messi’s back. He was introduced midway through the second half for Javier Saviola, as Frank Rijkaard’s team lead Racing Santander 2-0.
Update: 2-0 it remained, with Lio having a quiet comeback. Ronaldinho scored both goals.

The summer break’s over and the 2007 Clausura started this weekend. The big stories in the buildup to the kickoff were Juan Román Riquelme’s return - on loan from Villarreal of Spain - to Boca Juniors, and Claudio López also coming back to boyhood haunts when signing for Racing from Club America of Mexico.
