Yet another high scoring day in Argentina, despite the scorching heat. OK, so San Lorenzo vs. Belgrano only produced one goal (for the home side), but there were two in the ‘derby’ of the Gimnasias - both for the originals, from La Plata - three for Godoy Cruz against Quilmes, whilst the 37°C heat in Buenos Aires didn’t sap enough energy to prevent five shared between Lanus (3) and Newell’s (2), and six in the River - Racing clásico (4-2 to the hosts).
Oh, and just for a change, no fighting. Probably too hot. At least the football’s flowing…
