Mostaza Merlo’s in some trouble at the moment. We mentioned a few days ago that Jorge Burruchaga, following his side’s 3-1 defeat at home to Boca, was getting some stick - and now it’s the turn of the boss of Avellaneda’s other team.

Vélez, who lost their unbeaten record under Ricardo La Volpe at the weekend, got back to, um, non-losing ways tonight with a slightly fortuitous 1-1 draw in Liniers against Uruguayan giants Nacional.
