Boca Juniors made up for their limp 2-0 surrender away to Toluca last week by beating them 3-0 in the return. The first goal came on 15 minutes from potential star-in-the-making Jonatan Maidana, and the second, on 28 minutes, was Juan Román Riquelme’s first since his return to the club. Gimnasia, who qualified for this year’s Libertadores by virtue of finishing second in the Apertura of 2005, may now be wishing they hadn’t bothered. Having lost in Santos last week, the rematch came tonight and they fell behind to the visitors in only the second minute, thanks to Marcos Aurélio’s goal.
