Getting better

Diego Maradona’s health is slowly improving according to a statement to the press made by Héctor Pezzella of Sanatorio Güemes on Tuesday. ‘He’s continued to get on very well since he came into the clinic… the tests we’ve made are still showing stable results,’ the good doctor said. He also emphatically denied reports (apparently in the British press, though I’ve not seen them, so presumably they’ve been in the tabloids) that the hospital visit is the result of a failed suicide attempt. ‘What’s happened here is a disorder of a compulsive form, in this case alcoholic, it is not a suicide attempt.’ So that’s told them.
