On his way

It was widely accepted before Sunday’s superclásico that the match would be Boca legend Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s last appearance for the club, and now, a couple of days after Colombus Crew’s website claimed to have made his signing official, he’s confirmed that he’s off to MLS with immediate effect. He’ll come face-to-face, at some point, with ex-River striker Juan Pablo Angel, after the Colombian also sealed a deal this week to move from Aston Villa to New York Red Bulls. Schelotto has signed a contract with Columbus Crew (or rather, with Major League Soccer) to play for them until December of this year, and after that, it’s anyone’s guess…
