Short of ideas

That seemed to be the general consensus following the Argentina home-based national side’s goalless draw with Chile in Mendoza. A promising start wasn’t built upon, and some doubts remain about some sections of the squad, against a side who weren’t expected (by the Argentine media at least) to provide too stern a challenge. So, will the squad for the Copa America include many of these players, or will they play a supporting role for some of the Europe-based ones, who are, say, able to go round an entire defence with almost embarrassing ease?
