Alive and kicking

Each week I write a column for the excellent UK website Voice Of Football. This week’s column talks of Diego Maradona’s brush with death, Boca’s Copa Libertadores qualification (having been written before last night’s match), and the race for the title and survival at the bottom.

‘It’s been a quietish week news-wise in Argentina, with only greatly exaggerated rumours of Diego Maradona’s demise to liven things up a bit. Alright, I suppose that is quite a news story, really.

It’s the third time this year that Maradona’s death has been reported in the papers, and yet somehow he just seems to keep hanging on…’
