The buildup begins

As of this moment, the Copa América is officially on the horizon. Sort of. Well basically it’s such a quiet news day that Olé are running a story stating that, on the 28th May, Alfio Basile will announce the 40-man preliminary squad from which 22 will be chosen by the 21st June to make up the selección for the tournament.

On the 18th of this month, meanwhile, Basile will announce which of the Europe-based players will be representing Argentina in their friendly against Switzerland in Basle on the 2nd June.
