Six pointer

Whether it’s right to use the term ‘six pointer’ when talking about a league in which relegation is decided by average points over three seasons, I’m not sure. But it’s easier than saying ’average of six points over three seasons divided by the number of matches played in which said six points were won’-er.

Anyway, Belgrano won 3-0 at home to Quilmes last night. Without playing stunningly, they got in the faces of the visitors, showed a good attacking attitude and ran out comfortable winners. The result leaves Quilmes bottom of the Apertura with just nine points, but more crucially, it lifts Belgrano’s points average to 1.091, and draws them a little closer to Godoy Cruz (1.125) and Colón (1.204) in the relegation table.
