Playoff here we come

With a 1-0 victory away at Central de Córdoba, Almirante Brown have won the Clausura of the B Metropolitana. The players celebrated by running around the pitch in their underpants, enjoying the sun. There’s still one round of matches to go, but Brown find themselves five points clear of second placed Tristán Suárez. As a result, they’ll play off against Estudiantes de Buenos Aires, who  won the Apertura, to decide who gets the first promotion to the B Nacional for next season. Mercifully, Deportivo Morón won’t be throwing away a title on the last day of the campaign (article from January) this time – which can only be a good thing for the security people, if nothing else.
