Hello and goodbye

What do you mean, I’ve got to pack my things again?!

Clemente Rodriguez only arrived at Boca at the start of the campaign, but already he’s buggering off again. The full back, signed from Spartak Moscow in January, has just signed a four year contract with Espanyol of Barcelona, starting this July. Boca will get €2.5 million in return.

Espanyol, who on Wednesday night lost a cracking UEFA Cup final to Sevilla on penalties after a 2-2 draw in Glasgow, have identified three positions for which reinforcements are required for next season, and Rodriguez’s arrival will narrow that to two.
