How many Argentines does it take…

…To make up a leading Italian football club? In 2006-2007, the Inter board clearly believed the answer to be 257. Reports today suggest Carlos Tevez might be about to become the 258th Argentine on the club’s books, after he was quoted by La Gazzetta dello Sport saying that whilst he knew Real Madrid were interested, he’d prefer to join his compatriots at the San Siro. Of course Tevez has been linked with the world and his dog (not in a Stan Collymore sense, we don’t want litigation here!) in the last few weeks, and will continue to have clubs thrust upon him until he actually signs for one. But as an Argentine, he certainly fits the most important requirement for an Inter transfer target.
