The enemy within

Nueva Chicago have a case to answer in three of Argentina’s courts next week. The manslaughter of Marcelo Cejas, the Tigre fan who was killed by a flying stone, and the subsequent rioting which followed Chicago’s relegation in Monday’s playoff second leg, will go to the courts where Chicago will also have to explain just why one barra, known as ‘Miseria‘, who threatened Tigre’s players with a gun before the match began, was later found to be an employee of Nueva Chicago. Two of the capos (ringleaders) of Chicago’s barra brava appeared in two different security videos, and may be asked to play some part in the investigation as well. The fallout begins…
