The weekend’s fixtu… oh.

No fixtures in Primera A this weekend, due to the Argentine presidential elections, but there will be one game played on Friday night: Gimnasia and Newell’s will kick off their postponed match from the 12th round in La Plata at 9:10pm local time. The match was put back to today because the 12th round was played in midweek and the police didn’t want to have to deal with too many matches on weekday evenings – neither of the two clubs had any problem with putting the date back. Newell’s haven’t won away from home in this championship – but then nor had River before their own visit to Gimnasia last weekend…
