Apertura ’07: round 15 fixtures

Primera A 2007 Apertura logo

It’s possible there’s a tighter league campaign somewhere in the world than in Argentina right now, but I’d be surprised. After this weekend, it could all look a lot clearer. But on the other hand, we could have even more teams squeezed even closer together, with just three matches remaining. Leaders Lanús host third-placed Tigre and there are four clásicos, including the La Plata derby. Brace yourselves…

All kickoff times are local. Add three hours for Greenwich Mean Time (we’ve changed the clocks back in England now) and, I think, subtract one for Eastern Standard Time – but if our American readers have also changed their watches already, please let me know.

Primera División Torneo Apertura 2007, fifteenth round:
Arsenal de Sarandí vs. Rosario Central (Fri, 19:00)
San Martín de San Juan vs. Banfield (Fri, 21:10)
Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy vs. Olimpo de Bahía Blanca (Sat, 15:00)
Racing Club vs. Boca Juniors (Sat, 17:10)
Newell’s Old Boys vs. Colón de Santa Fé (Sat, 21:10)
Estudiantes de La Plata vs. Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata (Sun, 15:00)
San Lorenzo de Almagro vs. Huracán (Sun, 15:00)
River Plate vs. Independiente (Sun, 17:10)
Lanús vs. Tigre (Sun, 19:30)
Vélez Sársfield vs. Argentinos Juniors (Mon, 19:00)

Since it’s a bit of a special weekend, if you want to follow all the results as quickly as possible, you know where to come – I’ll be trying to crib match reports from whatever sites have them as soon as possible after each game ends on Sunday especially, presuming the weather’s bad enough to merit staying indoors (and this is England in November, so…).

FYI Sam, we haven’t turned the clocks back in the States yet.

  2. Thanks Justin. In that case, it’s as I’ve stated above, time-wise.
