Apertura ’07: Round 15 goals

Round 15 isn’t actually over yet – Vélez vs. Argentinos is taking place as I type – but the TV companies in Argentina always put out their weekend goal reviews on a Monday regardless, apparently hoping the remaining match is goalless so that this is a complete review (a spoiler – there’s already been one scored). Since I prefer to operate with some common sense, the scores and scorers will appear a little later – when we actually know all of them. Anyway, read on for the usual running order and personal favourites, but don’t forget to first click here for the goals.

Running order for TN‘s goal video:
Arsenal (claret & blue shirts) vs. Central (blue & yellow stripes)
San Martín (black & green stripes) vs. Banfield (white, green sash)
Gimnasia de Jujuy (white) vs. Olimpo (black & gold stripes)
Racing (sky blue & white stripes) vs. Boca (navy & gold)
Newell’s (white, red trim) vs. Colón (black & red halves)
Estudiantes (red & white stripes) vs. Gimnasia (white & navy)
San Lorenzo (navy & red stripes) vs. Huracán (white)
River (white, red sash) vs. Independiente (red)
Lanús (white, purple trim) vs. Tigre (blue & red)

My favourites:

Cardozo: Racing 0 – 1 Boca (46th min)

González: Gimnasia de Jujuy 0 – 1 Olimpo (18th min)

Matheu: River 0 – 1 Independiente (8th min)

Calderón: Arsenal 1 – 0 Central (40th min)
