Hardly a classic

The most exciting thing that happened today in El Cilindro

Racing vs. Independiente passed off without any incident on Saturday afternoon, either in the stands (fortunately) or on the pitch (less luckily). There were no goals, no sendings-off, and very little chance for either. The best thing about the match was the fans, who didn’t get the show they deserved. Argentine footballers were best displayed in Camp Nou earlier in the day, where Gaby Milito opened the scoring and Lio Messi added the third with a penalty in Barça’s 3-0 win over Recreativo de Huelva.
