Not only did the distasteful streak end, but Boca looked stronger in the back than at any time last season. They did not appear to miss Ibarra, and did not miss a beat following Morel’s departure. Caceres appears to be a great, welcome addition. And of course, Riquelme. The only negative in my mind is that Palacio still appears to be in a bit of a funk, and just has not been the same player since granddaddy Coco left.

The second goal all but killed the game off. I certainly would have preferred to see Falcao in place of Rosales or Abreu, and hope that will be the case come the Clausura.
