Clausura ’08: Round 10 scores and scorers

Estudiantes went top for a day-and-a-half but River leapfrogged them again on Sunday afternoon. Independiente returned to winning ways after three matches on the trot without a victory, whilst San Lorenzo stretched their winning run to six, and made it eleven goals scored in their last three matches. In the relegation battle, Colón got a potentially vital win over Huracán, but the biggest congratulations of the weekend go to Racing: It’s taken ten matches and a change of manager, but under Juan Manuel Llop La Academia have finally won their first match of 2008!

Yes…but Racing did get screwed once or twice too. I’m breathing now and still stunned that they’re about to go down.

  2. Bostero Forever says:

The surprising comments, this morning, everywhere, was that Racing HAS FINALLY WON A MATCH! There were more talking about Racing than about the matches won by River, Estudiantes or Boca.
Still, they’re in the dangerous zone.
And it will not be easy for them to leave that place.

  3. Seba says:

You are right, Bostero. That’s because Racing are a MASSIVE club! hahahaha! Jokes aside, it was the richest story for the journalism. Both Boca and River won and yet Ole’s cover (for example) was a huge picture of Franco Sosa and the headline: “GANÓ” (THEY WON).

Next week we face Lanús…and everything will be back to normal! hahahaha!

  4. Don’t be so sure Seba… Lanús might be the current champions but you’re above them in the table now, they’re having a shocker this year. Anyway, don’t worry too much about the next match – enjoy the result you got this weekend!

  5. Johnny says:

Maybe Valeri will still be out. Winning streak !!
