Clausura ‘08: Round 13 fixtures
One match above all springs out this weekend, with the AFA a little embarassed after rumours were leaked on Thursday suggesting that Gustavo Bassi, the man chosen to referee Sunday’s superclásico in La Bombonera, is a boyhood Boca fan. Without actually denying the charge, Bassi told radio show De Una on Radio La Red that ‘all referees were fans of one team or another, but when you become a professional you forget about that.’ The game in La Bombonera isn’t the only big match of the weekend, though: the bottom two sides in the Promedio meet in San Juan on Saturday, whilst right after the super, in a potentially titanic clash, Rosario Central host Racing - the two sides are currently exactly level on points average in the relegation table.
Kick off times are local. Add four hours for British Summer Time - the superclásico, then, kicks off at 19:10 UK time (20:10 Central European Time, 14:10 EST).

This is great, maybe Bassi will overcompensate to prove he doesn’t favor Boca. :)
What about the first result of this round 13! Arsenal beat Lanús 6-2 away from home!
Well…I always thought Lanús would have a hard time to cope with having to play in two tournaments at the same time, but I never thought they would have had such a disastrous torneo clausura (and they had to come back from a 0-3 deficit against Racing, of all teams!).
I know a lot of people will be keen on watching the Superclásico…but it’s all about Rosario Central v. Racing for me.
Come on, Kent! We need all the support we can get! I know you’ll be following.
