He has much more experience than Sanguinetti, but will he have the patience of the fans? The fans would be more patient with someone of true Gimnasia heritage, so Madelón needs to make a strong start. Beating River would of course help.

He brought Olimpo up winning both championships in ‘B’ in 2007, so maybe it’s a long term appointment – if GELP go down he could say it was too much ground to make up, but he will have the know-how to get them straight back.
