It’s that time again. The tenth round of the 2008 Torneo Apertura is upon us, and with it comes one of the world’s biggest derbies: all eyes on the Monumental on Sunday, where River Plate will be hosting Boca Juniors in another superclásico. There’ll be big match buildup on HEGS as well as live coverage and highlights afterwards, but it’s not the only game this weekend. Leaders San Lorenzo host San Martín, challengers Tigre and Lanús clash in Victoria, and Racing visit Banfield.
The clocks change this weekend in most of the country. All kick off times are local. Add four hours for British Summer Time on Friday and Saturday, three on Sunday. The exception is the match in Mendoza between Godoy Cruz and Newell’s, for which you’ll still need to add four hours (and one hour to get the time in most of the rest of the country). I’m guessing slightly at these time changes, so if I’ve got it wrong, Argentina-based readers please feel free to correct me.

Good for you, we are three guys that will go as well. It´s gonna be amazing, to say the very least.
you lucky fellows. i was at the last super at la bombonera what a game what an atmosphere. thank u seba for the victory.!!!!!!!!!
dear hasta el gol siempre. please ban ferg from this site. that comment was hurtful ad unessecarry. also if an uneducated bostero was able to read it, it could insight violence
You can call me Sam, murt. I’ve deleted the comment in question (which I’ve only just seen myself) and I think I’ll say ferg is on a warning now, because I’ve not noticed him commenting like that before. If it happens again I can (and will) ban him from commenting.
i was only joking. i know fergus he is from the same town in ireland as me. sorry about that ferg
Ha! I must admit I did wonder. One of the disadvantages of not allowing emoticons I suppose. (The reason I don’t is that if I do, every time I have to write an ’8′ followed by a closing bracket it comes out as a face wearing sunglasses…)
Warning rescinded Ferg, although sadly I can’t undelete your post so this discussion will look oddly cryptic to readers who weren’t in on it from the start…
Oh and re: the time change, I’ve had an email from Seba telling me I’ve got it right. So the super will kick off at 7:20pm BST, and the Godoy Cruz match, as I suspected, starts at 5:40 Mendoza time, which is 6:40 in Buenos Aires, and 9:40pm BST.
