It’s only Tuesday, but already we’re gearing up for another round of action in the Primera A, and it becomes apparent once more why I refer to ’rounds’ rather than ‘weekends’ in the HEGS headlines. There are some high-pressure matches at the top: Tigre get things started at home to Independiente, and will go top of the table for a day at least if they win. Leaders San Lorenzo are at home to Gimnasia La Plata on Wednesday, when the two sides propping up the table are both at home: River to Newell’s, and Newell’s rivals Central hosting Gimnasia de Jujuy. Arsenal vs. Racing is sort-of a clásico, for the home side at least.
All kick off times are local – add two hours for Greenwich Mean Time. Mendoza is one hour behind the rest of the host cities for this week’s matches, so for Godoy Cruz vs. Huracán you’ll need to add three hours.
