The end is nigh. The title won’t be decided this weekend but Newell’s, Vélez and Colón could drop out of the running if they lose. Things might look muddier by Saturday night: that’s when San Lorenzo take on Lanús in the Nuevo Gasómetro – an away win would catapult last year’s Apertura winners into the title fight as well. Towards the bottom of the Promedio, Racing host Gimnasia La Plata looking to get a win that should help them edge further from the drop zone, whilst Banfield will be hoping not to lose to Huracán – if they do, they might find themselves dropping in there themselves…
All kick off times are local. Add two hours for Greenwich Mean Time. Godoy Cruz and Gimnasia de Jujuy are both away in the east this weekend, meaning there’s no match that’s a further hour behind.
