Torneo Clausura 2009: Round 1 fixtures

Ah, it’s been a while. Defending champions Boca begin at altitude in Jujuy on Sunday evening, a situation Diego Maradona isn’t happy about (the time, rather than the location); two of the Apertura finalists give us the first match of the season as San Lorenzo visit Tigre, and Independiente play their first ‘home’ match at Huracán’s ground. All the kick off times are right here…

All kick off times are local. Add one hour to the two highlighted matches to get the time in Buenos Aires; add two hours to the time in Buenos Aires to get Greenwich Mean Time.

Primera División A Torneo Clausura 2009, first round:
Tigre vs San Lorenzo de Almagro (Fri, 19:00)
Huracán vs San Martín de Tucumán (Fri, 21:00)
Newell’s Old Boys vs Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata (Sat, 17:10)
Argentinos Juniors vs Arsenal Fútbol Club (Sat, 17:10)
Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba vs Banfield (Sat, 18:20)
Lanús vs Racing Club (Sat, 21:30)
Estudiantes de La Plata vs Rosario Central (Sat, 21:30)
River Plate vs Colón de Santa Fe (Sun, 17:10)
Independiente vs Vélez Sársfield (Sun, 17:10)
Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy vs Boca Juniors (Sun, 18:30)

If anyone can point me in the direction of the 2009 Clausura logo, I’d be much obliged. Either a comment on this post, or an email would be lovely – I’ve been unable to find it on the AFA website this term.
