Agree with u Justin. He certainly isnt worth anywhere near 32 million. 20 mill max. He is a very good player but certainly not world class. As Ferguson said the fans forgive a lot when you try so hard. I know he wont go to Liverpool and thats exactly why i like him as opposed to the other baby who threw his toys out of the pram on sunday when substituted. Even though hes a bostero and a manc, hes got heart.

The problem for Carlitos is that he isn't as good as Rooney. Rooney, on form, is United's most important player, involved in everything, making and scoring goals, keeping the ball moving, tracking back. Ronaldo is a game-breaker, but Rooney is the soul of the team.
Carlitos and Rooney made a good pairing last season, but there was always the suspicion Fergie wasn't wowed by them. Plus hes always liked elegant players who make it look easy (Eg Veron), which explains his Berbatov fixation. But Rooney and Bebatov are not a natural pairing, and oddly, the best front-two we've had this season has been Tevez-Berbatov. So where does that leave Rooney? On the left, of late. Tevez started both Liverpool games, which makes him a bit more than a "super-sub", I think. He just has to accept the rotation Fergie has been using. Utd will have played 67 games by the end of the Season and Tevez has played in many of them. He hasn't always shone either, though his effort has never been in doubt.
If Ronaldo goes (hopefully followed by Nani) , we still have Tozic, Giggs, Park and (reportedly already locked into a pre-contract) Valencia on the wings, plus the mooted signings of Ribery and/or Benzema.
If Tevez does go - and I don't think thats quite a certainty yet - United will be ok. We won't win the league next season anyway, unless we mess up tonight or on Saturday. Nobody wins it 4 years in a row.
I can't see him going to Liverpool. A Boca player, and certainly one as tribal as he seems to be, would understand that you don't move directly to your most-hated rivals. He would do well at City, though..

The way I see it, Ferguson wants Tevez to stay and keep using him as a super-sub. Tevez wants none of that. The problem for Fergie is that he won't be able to do what he did to Heinze (when he boicot Heinze's move to Anfield, "forcing" him to sign for Madrid).

This time, Tevez is not tied up by United and if Sir Alex wants the Apache to stay, he'll have to splash some real cash.

Oh...and...what's even worse, not even splashing the cash will he be able to secure Tevez for another season. The player can always refuse any offer he could get from United and leave to play elsewhere (where he can feel like a first option and a regular starter).

I'm hoping this one back-fires for Ferguson and he gets stuck with Berbatov in a Ronaldo-less team for next season (not that it'll be the end of the world for him, because Ribery may be on the way to Old Trafford, but I just don't like the way he's been treating Tevez this season).

If that happens murt, it's only because 'old red nose' doesn't value him at 32 million. If Ferguson wants him, he stays. If he doesn't, he goes. It's not like Liverpool would be 'getting one over' United, taking a player United don't really need.
