Torneo Apertura 2009: Round 11 scores and scorers

Boca Juniors beat Chacarita Juniors by three golazos to nil (losing Juan Román Riquelme to a foot injury until 2010 in the process), and Lanús dismembered Tigre in El Sur, but the big story of Thursday was River Plate’s 2-1 victory over Argentinos Juniors – the Núñez giants’ first away win in 17 attempts, with Mauro Rosales appearing for the first time this season and scoring his first goal in over a year and a half to all but finish the match off. All the scores, scorers and red cards are right here, as ever.

  1. Just when it looks like JRR is returning to some kind of form he is lost for months. Seems like these foot issues are becoming a chronic problem for Roman. I guess Gaitan will return to midfield and maybe Mouche is ready to return up front.

  2. Sam it appears you accidentally reported that River won away from home. I haven’t seen the actual score, but I can only assume you’ve erred.
