Torneo Apertura 2009: round 15 fixtures

The title race gathers pace. At the top, joint leaders Banfield visit Independiente, who will move to within three points with a win. Fellow pace-setters Newell’s Old Boys are at home in the clásico rosarino, perhaps the country’s most passionate. Third- and fourth-placed sides both play tonight: Colón are away to Lanús, prior to which Estudiantes will host Tigre. Champions Vélez, in seventh and eight points off the lead, bring the curtain down on the round on Monday night, at home to Racing. Throughout the weekend I’ll be trying to put each day’s Show de Goles up as I find them online after each evening’s matches, since the Monday night games appear to have brought an end to the single whole-weekend-long video.

All kick off times are local. Add three hours for Greenwich Mean Time / UCT.

    Hi.
I would just like to know if there will be any game in Buenos Aires from 14th to 19th January 2010.
Maybe the fixture hasn’t been yet released, like in Brazil.
    Best Regards and Thanks.
    Sergio

  2. Unlikely, Sergio. The Torneo Clausura will begin on the last weekend of January, and though there will be pre-season matches taking place during the month, they won’t be held in Buenos Aires. There might be an invitational tournament in La Plata or hosted by one of the mid-sized clubs, but all of the ‘Big Five’ will be playing the Torneos de Verano, and there are unlikely to be many more matches to choose from in the height of summer.

Sergio keep an eye on matches being played in Rosario, Santa Fe province… it’s relatively cheap and close to buenos aires and there is a good chance of a decent match being played there.
