Inicial 2013: Gimnasia leave it (24 hours) late, but beat Colón (video)

The 2013 Torneo Inicial’s seventh week came to a delayed end on Tuesday evening with the match between Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata and Colón de Santa Fe, which had been delayed by 24 hours due to heavy rain across the Río de La Plata region and an inundated pitch drainage system in El Bosque, Gimnasia’s stadium. The hosts dominated the match after weathering early pressure from Colón, but had to wait until about fifteen minutes before the end for Erik Correa to head them into the lead; it proved to be the only goal of the game, taking them fifth in the table – they’re one of four sides who are just a point behind leaders Newell’s Old Boys. Here is that goal.
