
The big weekend of clásicos saw some interesting results and scorelines. San Lorenzo won by a solitary goal at Racing and Vélez maintained the leadership in a non-derby match, rather fortuitously, by the same scoreline at home. Banfield absolutely twonked the champions on their own turf, Independiente drew at Boca, Estudiantes and River stank the place out in La Plata, and Arsenal and Gimnasia de Jujuy served up a goalfest in Sarandí.
