Clausura ’08: Round 5 goals

The goals from round five of the Torneo Clausura are online now, and you can watch all 21 of them (good grief it was low-scoring this weekend) thanks to TN by clicking here. There may not be many, but there are quite a few crackers this week, ranging from good team moves (Banfield’s fifth against Lanús) to fine solo skill (Hauche’s strike for Argentinos against Huracán) and long-range blasts. There was also an amazingly badly disallowed goal for Huracán. As always, read on for the full running order of this clip, along with my personal favourites with thanks to our friends at GolesTV.

Running order for TN video:
Vélez (white shirts with navy ‘V’) vs. Newell’s (red & black halves)
Boca (navy & gold) vs. Independiente (red)
Lanús (purple) vs. Banfield (white, green sash)
Racing (sky blue & white stripes) vs. San Lorenzo (navy & red stripes)
Argentinos (red) vs. Huracán (white)
Arsenal (red & sky blue) vs. Gimnasia de Jujuy (white & sky blue)
San Martín (black & green stripes) vs. Gimnasia La Plata (white & navy)
Tigre (blue & red) vs. Olimpo (black & gold stripes)

My favourites of the week:

Riquelme: Independiente 1 – 1 Boca (54th min)

Bravo: San Martín 1 – 0 Gimnasia LP (15th min)

Cvitanich: Lanús 0 – 5 Banfield (83rd min)

Gómez: Arsenal 2 – 2 Gimnasia de Jujuy (58th min)

Mateo: Arsenal 2 – 3 Gimnasia de Jujuy (80th min)

Giménez: Tigre 1 – 0 Olimpo (35th min)

Hauche: Argentinos 1 – 0 Huracán (5th min)

And finally… the goal for Huracán controversially (read: incorrectly) disallowed by referee Gustavo Esquivel y Brazenas shortly before half-time:
