In spite of the unsavoury incidents in the stands, River Plate went top on their own on Sunday, thanks to their own win and Boca’s draw in Bahía Blanca after Josemir Lujambio scored for Olimpo to cancel out Leandro Gracián’s brilliant opener. Estudiantes also won, meaning that if and when they’re given the points for the match against Racing they’ll overtake River, and Banfield were involved in another five-goal thriller. Put a bet on them winning 3-2 every week and who knows, you could even turn a profit by the end of this campaign*…
