Racing made it four – four! – matches without defeat at home to Tigre in the weekend’s only goalless game. Three games featured three goals, Estudiantes vs. Central had four, Vélez and Lanús shared five (the last of which came very, very late), River and Argentinos scored six between them – and Banfield and Huracán thought even that was a bit soft, and decided their match by the odd goal in seven. San Lorenzo got one early on to win the clásico against Boca, and Newell’s move further from the drop zone with a win over Gimnasia La Plata.
