After a couple of months kicking heels and whiling away the time with friendlies, transfer rumours and one or two actual moves, the wait is over. New boys San Martín de Tucumán will kick off the Primera División A Torneo Apertura 2008 later today when they host Huracán. You can follow the whole of the Apertura right here on HEGS, with the usual fixtures, match reports, score roundups and goal reviews you’ve become accustomed to. Writing Olympic previews and sorting one or two technical hitches with the ‘meet the clubs’ post earlier this week has got in the way of my telling you which players to look out for this season, so you can expect the lowdown on that some time next week. For now, though, let’s get on with the matches…
All kick off times are local. Add four hours for British Summer Time.
