In what would have been the site’s top story for the last 24 hours had Juan Román Riquelme not provided us with a bigger headline-grabber, Estudiantes huffed and puffed against the Ecuadorian champions Deportivo Quito, and eventually lost the match with six minutes to go to a Leiber Preciado goal. The defeat, combined with the side’s previous poor form, has led on Wednesday to Leonardo Astrada resigning his position as Estudiantes boss.
