A very quick mention of a couple of moves in the domestic league which are mooted. Juan Sebastián Verón could be leaving Estudiantes, whilst San Lorenzo are keeping hold of their manager (by the looks of it) and Independiente are about to decide on a new one following Miguel Angel Santoro’s resignation at the weekend – find out who it is right here.
Verón has finally tired of the internal machinations at Estudiantes, and decided he may well leave his boyhood club at the end of the season. San Lorenzo backer Mauricio Tinelli has already chatted with him about a possible move to Boedo, and River Plate have made contact as well, apparently. La Bruja seems, so far, a little more disposed towards the former, but time will tell.
A couple of managerial stories (or non-stories) too: Miguel Angel Russo looks set to stay at San Lorenzo after the 3-0 loss to Huracán continues an underwhelming campaign for the Cuervo, and Independiente will probably unveil Américo Gallego as their new boss in the next 48 hours.
