The tenth round of the 2009 Torneo Clausura gets underway tonight, and a match between two sides who are off the pace in the race for the title has been taking up all the attention in the Argentine media for days now, and will on Sunday give Argentina the chance to show its league off to the world – La Bombonera will host the 225th competitive (and 328th total) superclásico between Boca Juniors and River Plate. Of more importance to issues at the business ends of the table, though, will be clashes between Gimnasia La Plata and Central, Colón’s visit to Independiente which begins the weekend, Vélez vs Arsenal and Lanús taking on Tigre. All the kick off times right here.
All kick off times are local. Add four hours for British Summer Time.

As ever, HEGS will be providing full coverage of the super, with team news prior to the game on Sunday and (providing my internet connection holds up) near-live updates during the match. I’ll have any highlights videos I can find embedded to the site as soon as possible after the match finishes, too.
To be fair to River, they’re somehow only 4 points off the top, aren’t they? Though unless they snap out of draw merchant mode, that’s as close as they’ll get.
Word is that both Battaglia and Riquelme might miss the match with injuries.
