Torneo Apertura 2009: Round 1 fixtures

¡Ya regrese el fútbol! Matías Defederico might be on his way to the Premier League via a loan deal with Huracán for the Clausura, after club president Carlos Babington claimed an impending deal with Corinthians had collapsed over the Brazilian club’s desire to pay the transfer fee in eighteen separate payments. Matías Almeyda – ask your grandparents, kids – is returning to River Plate at the age of 36 as cover for Oscar Ahumada, who’s due to be operated on. Leandro Romagnoli has rejoined San Lorenzo from Sporting Clube de Portugal, and San Lorenzo and River Plate are both trying, as I type, to register Ajax Amsterdam’s former Banfield striker Darío Cvitanich as their player. Why all the craziness? Because the transfer window’s swinging shut and the football’s finally here, of course! All the kick off times are right this way…

All kick off times are local – add four hours for British Summer Time.

  1. Sounds like an excellent day for streaming. considering at least 10 million argentinos receive the canal 7 signal over the air and another 14 million via cable/satelite somebody of those 24 million argentinos is going to have a tv capture card and a streaming account. I wonder if the official page (tvpublica.com.ar) will stream as well, as they do host a winmedia stream too: mms://canal7envivo.telecomdatacenter.com.ar/canal7envivo

    For the USA:
Fox Sports en Español in the US is still showing a Sunday 4:30pm (eastern) for the clasico de domingo, (Boca v Argentinos) and also showing futbol de primera at it’s Monday 7pm EST slot.

Fox Soccer Channel in the US will not have live games (again) and have put argentine soccer at 3am EST on Monday morning. The Argentine Highlights show has been dropped from the wednesday timeslot and currently is not scheduled.
