Torneo Apertura 2009: Round 1 goals

All 23 of the goals from the Torneo Apertura 2009 are now online, and you can watch, as ever, the TN Show de Goles on this ‘ere link. As ever, if you don’t know which teams play in which colours, read on for the running order.

Running order for TN Show de Goles:
Gimnasia LP (white & navy shirts) vs Godoy Cruz (blue, white pinstripe)
Independiente (white) vs Newell’s (red & black halves)
San Lorenzo (navy & red stripes) vs Atlético de Tucumán (white & sky blue)
Chacarita (red, black & white stripes) vs Tigre (blue & red)
Arsenal (sky blue, red sash) vs Estudiantes (red & white stripes)
Central (yellow) vs Racing (sky blue & white stripes)
Lanús (maroon) vs Huracán (white)
Boca (navy & gold) vs Argentinos (red)
Banfield (black, green sash) vs River (white, red sash)
Colón (red & black halves) vs Vélez (white, navy ‘V’)

I’m of the perhaps old-fashioned belief that, even in a championship of only 19 matches, there really isn’t any point looking at the league table after the first game (and I don’t say that solely because it would put River joint bottom), so I’ll put a league table up after the second or third round.

  1. Interesting headline at the top of the TN page, Bergessio has gone to St Etienne. A good move for him, it’s a club with a huge history and latent affection across Europe, yet they’re not too good at the moment so he can only improve them. Much better than some of the recent odd moves like Rusculleda going to some Saudi club I’ve never heard of, what a waste of talent that is.
