Torneo Apertura 2009: round 10 scores and scorers

The game of musical chairs atop the Primera División gathers apace. Estudiantes, Banfield and Newell’s have all led the table at various points since Friday afternoon, but at the end of the weekend it’s Colón who are left looking down on the rest of Argentina, after a 2-1 win at home to San Lorenzo courtesy of two goals from Federico Nieto. Banfield’s Uruguayan striker Santiago Silva is still top of the goalscoring charts with nine goals, a full three ahead of his nearest rivals (Independiente’s Darío Gandín, Estudiantes’ Mauro Boselli, and Nieto, in case you’re wondering). For all the goalscorers and expulsions, read on.
