Nothing’s been decided yet, but Banfield are clearly the biggest beneficiaries of the weekend. Their win on Friday combined with later losses for both Colón (at the hands of Atlético Tucumán) and Newell’s (to Arsenal) to leave El Taladro two points clear of Newell’s with two games to go. Elsewhere, Vélez beat River with two late goals in rapid succession, and Lanús wrapped up the round on Sunday evening with a 2-0 win over Gimnasia La Plata. All the heroes and villains are here, as ever.

Newell’s loss to Arsenal was quite the heartbreaker. Still don’t see how the ref called for 10 fouls to Arsenal’s 2.
