The final match of the eleventh round of the 2010 Torneo Clausura isn’t played until Monday evening, so the scores will be going up then, but here you can view the goals from all Saturday’s and Sunday’s matches. These included a win for Racing, an absolute spanking for Boca in their grudge match away to Chacarita, and a five-goal thriller with Gimnasia’s visit to Banfield. There is also an announcement inside which regulars to HEGS may well be interested to read.
Racing 1 – 0 Newell’s Old Boys
Tigre 0 – 1 Lanús
Banfield 3 – 2 Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata
Chacarita Juniors 4 – 1 Boca Juniors
Colón 1 – 1 Independiente
Vélez Sársfield 1 – 0 Atlético Tucumán
Arsenal Fútbol Club 1 – 0 San Lorenzo de Almagro
And that announcement. The clocks went forward here in the UK on Sunday morning, meaning the time difference between here and Argentina is now four hours. This will cause some delays in things like the end-of-round scores and scorers going online, because whilst before I could (just about) stay up until the round finished, now it’s a little trickier. However, this will only be for a couple of weeks. As regular readers are aware, HEGS has been written for the last three years from my home in England, and I’m very grateful for the support and kind comments I’ve received from people who enjoy the site.
On the 14th of April, though, I’ll be getting on an aeroplane and taking the site local. I’m moving to Buenos Aires. Hopefully, you won’t mind putting up with some slightly behind-time information for a couple of weeks whilst I tie up loose ends in England, because once I’m out in BA, the HEGS experience will of course be better than ever.
You can follow the Clausura and the Argentine sides in the 2010 Copa Libertadores via HEGS on Twitter (including updates during and between matches and similar stories that might not go up on the site until later). I’m slowly gaining followers, but if you’ve not signed up yet you can do so here.
