Torneo Clausura 2010: Round 14 fixtures

Coverage of the fourteenth round of the Torneo Clausura here on HEGS has already been, and will again be, a little delayed due to various farewells I’m making here in England prior to my flight to Buenos Aires on Wednesday. So bear with me, and forgive me for not having got these fixtures online before the first matches of the round were played. Saturday saw Newell’s and Huracán both claim comfortable home victories before a rather more surprising home loss – leaders Independiente lost for the first time at the new Estadio Libertadores de América, 1-0 to San Lorenzo, who thus record Sebastián Méndez’s first win as a manager. If Godoy Cruz (at home to Tigre) or Argentinos Juniors (at home to Colón) win their matches on Sunday, Independiente will be knocked off top spot. The kick off times for Sunday and Monday’s matches are right here, as are the goals from the three games played on Saturday.

All kick off times are local. Add four hours for British Summer Time.

Primera División Torneo Clausura 2010, fourteenth round

Vélez Sársfield vs Banfield (Sun, 18:10)
Atlético Tucumán vs River Plate (Sun, 20:15)

You can follow the Clausura and the Argentine sides in the 2010 Copa Libertadores via HEGS on Twitter (including updates during and between matches and similar stories that might not go up on the site until later). I’m slowly gaining followers, but if you’ve not signed up yet you can do so here.

  1. Thanks, Steve! It’ll prove worth the slow-down for the next few days (tomorrow’s scores and scorers post will be delayed, as will Argentines Abroad, though the latter will definitely be online this week in some form), I hope. Next weekend’s fixtures don’t begin until Saturday so depending on how quickly I get over my jetlag I hope to be in attendance for at least one match…
