The normal goal video post isn’t happening tonight, because Sunday saw three matches in the Torneo Clausura, but no goals at all. Only one team could pretend to be happy about this: River Plate drew 0-0 with Atlético Tucumán to bring to an end a run of four straight defeats. At the same time though, that match signalled their fifth in a row without scoring. Elsewhere, leaders Independiente benefited from Banfield’s 0-0 draw away to Vélez; El Taladro were unable to move to within two points of the leaders. Lanús vs Central was by far the most entertaining of the day’s matches, but it too finished goalless as the rosarinos prepared for their city derby next weekend. On Monday, Godoy Cruz, Estudiantes and Argentinos Juniors will all have chances to go top.
You can follow the Clausura and the Argentine sides in the 2010 Copa Libertadores via HEGS on Twitter (including updates during and between matches and similar stories that might not go up on the site until later). I’m slowly gaining followers, but if you’ve not signed up yet you can do so here.
