Clausura 2010: Round 15 Saturday goals

Paulo Ferrari sends River into the lead

Saturday saw a series of decent matches when it got underway, and there was no shortage of goals to be found. Atlético Tucumán claimed their first victory of 2010 courtesy of a 2-1 away win over Chacarita Juniors, who in spite of being well beaten scored a fine consolation goal. Estudiantes took a very early lead against Tigre and made it tell – the hosts will just be glad to have avoided a repeat of last weekend’s mauling at the hands of Godoy Cruz. Godoy themselves took the lead against the run of play before a resurgent River Plate scored twice in two second half minutes to deservedly win 2-1, on Angel Cappa’s debut as their manager (and Diego Buonanotte’s return to first team action). And for Independiente, Leandro Gracián scored from almost fifty yards out as El Rojo moved joint top with Estudiantes. Watch them all right here.

Chacarita Juniors 1 – 2 Atlético Tucumán

Tigre 1 – 2 Estudiantes de La Plata

Banfield 1 – 3 Independiente

River Plate 2 – 1 Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba
