The group stages of the 2010 Copa Libertadores de América ended on Thursday night, and with the six best second-placed teams now known, the lineups for the round of sixteen have been announced. Mexican sides Chivas and San Luis Potosí come in at this stage after leaving the competition due to the swine flu scandal last year, and are their country’s only representatives. For Argentina, Lanús have already fallen by the wayside due to their woeful start to the year, but Vélez Sarsfield, Banfield and the reigning champions Estudiantes de La Plata are all still in with a shout. Five sides from Brazil, those two from Mexico as well as the same number from Peru, and one each from Colombia, Paraguay, Chile and Uruguay stand in their way. The match-ups are right here.
The first named team in each match-up will be at home in the first leg. First legs will be played during the first week of May, with the second legs to take place the following week.
