Lanús, San Lorenzo and Godoy Cruz ensured on Monday evening that a free-scoring weekend ended as it had started, although Colón didn’t have any part to play beyond defending poorly to allow their hosts Godoy to hit three unanswered goals past them. In El Sur, Lanús beat San Lorenzo by the odd goal in five, with each team scoring one in the last five minutes. The big winners of the weekend are Argentinos, of course, and Racing, who despite losing the clásico to River are safe from the playoffs for the second season running all the same. The weekend’s heroes and villains are all right here, as are the goals from Lanús vs San Lorenzo and Godoy Cruz vs Colón (one of which is a true thing of beauty).
