After that, San Lorenzo beat Newell’s 2-1 in a match far more notable for its second half than its first, and Banfield reminded us why they won the title just six months ago with a 3-0 crushing of a Boca Juniors side who, if nothing else, showed why they’ll need some major re-working if the injured Juan Román Riquelme really does leave.
