The Torneo Apertura gathers apace on the back of the selección’s impressive win on Tuesday over Spain, and the return to domestic action is a suitably juicy one in spite of there being no clásicos this weekend. Leaders Vélez Sarsfield visit third-placed San Lorenzo, just a point behind, whilst Arsenal, joint top with Vélez, are away to River Plate – who not only are just two points off the lead, but are also battling against relegation in the promedio. Boca Juniors visit Bahía Blanca to take on Olimpo, the promoted side who are higher up the table than them, and would leapfrog them in the promedio with a win.
